Rose - "Look Listen and Learn as an Advocate for Students"
Opening Activity - One card and and favorite candy bar
Second Card - What we as teachers do as a strength in our class to be an advocate for children and their learning. Tables shared out the responses.
Second Activity- Table groups worked on a list of word to describe student centered learning and inclusion for all students. Rose will take the lists and build Wordles with the words generated by the groups.
Rose reviewed - What Great Principals Do Differently, Fifteen Things That Matter Most (Todd Whitaker)
The handbook was reviewed.
AESOP must have changes made by 4:00 PM when the system downloads.
Cafeteria- children need to line up in a certain order.
Calendar - No personal day leave on April 2nd and June 11 - 19 as needed for snow days.
Laminating machine Kitty will continue during the school year.
You need to record contact with parents on a sheet.
Inform will have training since data will be scanned.
We need to look a two or more races will be a category of MSA.
Cathy Nacrelli will be helping with observations and evaluations.
Parent information packets will go home on 8/24.
Charlestown got a reward for recycling.
RtI will continue.
School Pictures will be on 9/29.
SST will be on first and third Tuesday.
Supply Lists we are not allowed to ask for donations. We can build partnerships. Time for Kids and Weekly Reader need to be partnerships.
School book orders can be used, but must be handled by the teacher. Money for homework assignments book - we will collect them if a child moves.
Volunteer program will be done with Misty and Rose.
Misty will set counseling program classes.
No electronic devices will be allowed in the building.
Rose will discuss the information about discipline and field trips at the team meetings.
